Meeting critical needs across every mission, landscape, and orbit
SES Space & Defense is the premier Space Partner to the U.S. Government, the U.S. Department of Defense, and International Defence partners. Through its mPOWER offering, SES Space & Defense provides the U.S. Government and key allies with consistent, flexible, and dependable access to satellite connectivity. We meet these customers’ unique needs by offering two classes of mPOWER Services: Sovereign mPOWER and Commercial Managed mPOWER.
Sovereign mPOWER Services
Maintain control and autonomy
Sovereign mPOWER Services are offered in two sub-classifications: Sovereign Managed Services and Sovereign Capacity.
Sovereign Managed Services are SES Space & Defense operated services that may include terrestrial connectivity, gateway infrastructure, security enhancements, and other user-desired capabilities. These services employ self-defined remote terminal hardware in terms of antenna (characteristics and performance) and waveform, and give users the flexibility to architect their networks in a mission-optimal manner. As with all mPOWER services, throughput is committed, uncontended, and service levels are guaranteed.
Sovereign Capacity is guaranteed capacity for a defined network topology within a user-defined operating region. With Sovereign Capacity, users provide their own infrastructure, design their connectivity services, and operate their own network.

Service Types
Command & Control (C2)
Command & Control (C2) services enable intra-network user engagement for private network data flow and information sharing where Internet or Cloud connectivity is not required. These networks are typically Forward Link (FL) dominated, meaning more information generally flows from a network core to remote users or bilateral in terms of Forward Link (FL) to Return Link (RL) connectivity ratio.
Networking associated with C2 typically involves sending or receiving information from the remote terminal to a hub terminal or another remote terminal either directly or with network hub terminal assistance. All information to be shared exists within the C2 network.
Enterprise Data Trunking, Command, Control & Communications (C3)
Intelligence Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR)
