In our last post on the GovSat Report, we featured the first episode in a two-part podcast series on the Air Force’s Pathfinder Program, which was established to demonstrate the feasibility of new, alternative acquisition and procurement models for commercial satellite, while also demonstrating new, innovative COMSATCOM capabilities.
During the podcast, we were joined by two Pathfinder experts from SES Space and Defense – Jeff Rowlison, the Vice President of Government Affairs at SES Space and Defense, and Tim Deaver, Corporate Vice President of Development and Strategy, also at SES Space and Defense.
During the discussion, we covered off on the overarching strategy for the Pathfinder Program, and delved into the benefits of the first Pathfinder Program in the series – Pathfinder One.
In part two of our two-part series, Jeff and Tim return to discuss the provisions of the next, proposed Pathfinder Program in the series – Pathfinder Two – and what the remaining Pathfinder Programs may look like.
